How to stop annoying Facebook video autoplay and default to HD playback in 4 steps

I bet the auto-playing videos and the pathetic default video quality in your News Feed is annoying as hell.  So here is how to disable auto-play and default to HD playback in four (or five) mouse clicks on Facebook:
  1. Click the dropdown icon on the top right hand corner
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Click Videos (Video Settings) on the left column
  4. Change the settings as you please
